These terms cover your use of the Cinema Watch API, its documentation and this developer dashboard.
Last updated: October 7, 2026
By creating an API key or calling the Cinema Watch API (the “API”), you agree to these terms, our Acceptable Use Policy and our API Privacy Notice. Your Cinema Watch account is also covered by the Cinema Watch Terms of Service. If these terms and those conflict on something about the API, these terms apply. If you use the API for a company, you agree for that company.
Each plan has a per-minute rate limit, a monthly request quota and a maximum number of keys, shown on the pricing page. Requests over a limit are refused with a 429 response. We may change plans and limits; for significant reductions we will give notice where we can.
Paid plans are not available yet. When they are, their prices and billing terms will be shown before you buy.
The API returns film and TV information such as titles, descriptions, images, release dates, cast and episodes from the Cinema Watch database. Titles, artwork and other material about films and shows remain the property of their owners. We do not guarantee that the data is complete, accurate or current.
You are responsible for your app and for how you use the data, including following the laws that apply to you and to your users. Do not suggest that Cinema Watch endorses your app, and do not use our name or logo except to credit the data.
We work to keep the API available, and you can see its current health on the status page, but we do not promise any level of uptime. We may change, version, limit or stop parts of the API. We will try to give notice of breaking changes in the changelog.
You can stop using the API and delete your keys at any time. We may suspend or revoke keys, or close access, if you break these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if your use puts the service or other users at risk, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the API and the data are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Cinema Watch and the people who run it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the API. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new “last updated” date and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the dashboard. If you keep using the API after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
